Like the rest of the world we decided to visit a pumpkin patch this week, with Halloween on our doorstep I couldn't resist the chance to get festive and of course take some very cute photos.
We went to the Pop up farm which is just by junction 9 of the M1. It's location makes it very accessible from lots of places and it's about 15 minutes from us here in St Albans.
Owned by the Pigott family who have been farming in Hertfordshire for generations the vision is simple, 'to deliver a fantastic new way for children (and adults)to learn about farming. See how different plants and animal grow and have some fun.' which they have certainly achieved.
If you are there with young children I recommend borrowing a wheel barrow to push the kiddos and any pumpkins about in. If you're lucky you can try and get them to put a bit of graft in too...
The farm is FREE to enter and pumpkins start at £2.50, hurry up and visit before it closes on Halloween! Keep an eye on their twitter as they will be sold out soon.
