Lavender fields and sunflower picking
You may have seen on my Instagram that we visited the Lavender fields in Hitchin last week. We managed to go on about the only day it wasn't pouring down with rain which was a bonus. With the school holidays here and everyone looking for activities to do with their children I thought I would write a short post for anyone that lives in the Hertfordshire area.
It was so beautiful, such a pretty sight with the purple Lavender stretching for as far as the eye can see!
It's only £5 to get in and you can pick as much Lavender as you want. There is also an amazing sunflower field where you can pick sunflowers for just 50p per flower. I've never been in a sunflower field so was quite excited to have a wander through it with Bella, who obviously found it rather fascinating.
Don't forget to visit the cafe for some delicious cake, perfect with a cuppa. There is also shop with lots of lavender related gifts from soap to massage oils to a Lavender soda drink(!!!!).
Sadly Bella was not in great humour (I think she is still feeling the affects of the 12 month jabs) so I didn't get a chance to take many pictures on my camera and only managed to snap a few on my iPhone.....next time!
