Going abroad without Bella for the first time
You may have seen via my instagram that I was in Ibiza last week celebrating my sister's 30th birthday. I have visited Ibiza several times along with my sister and best friend, they even organised my hen do there. So naturally the 'white isle' holds a very special place in my heart. When my sister started to organise the trip I was really torn, I was so excited at the prospect of another trip there but the thought of leaving Bella filled me with anxiety and panic. We had left her overnight a couple of times but there was something about being in a different country / flying without her which made me feel differently. Equally I knew we would have an amazing time and that it's important for me and Phil to have a bit of together time now and then.
Thankfully Bella has an incredible relationship with all of her grandparents and we decided to leave her with my parents. I wasn't concerned about Bella, I knew she would have an amazing time with them, it was whether I'd be able to enjoy myself that I questioned.
Anyway after a few tears from me (most people cry on the way to Ibiza, right?) we were on our way and wow did we let our hair down! Such fun and really nice to have some time to ourselves. My sister planned it amazingly, I won't got into too much detail as that's not what this site is about but there were delicious meals (Sa Punta below)
and ultimate chilled time at one of my all time faves, Blue Marlin.
In total we were away for 3 days / 4 nights and it whizzed by, I think it was a perfect amount of time. It's back to reality now but I wouldn't have it any other way. If you are able to leave your little one with friends or family I would definitely recommend booking even just a night away with your partner. It can be a daunting thought but it's so good for you and your relationship.
