The Cream Cable Knit
Firstly I have to say sorry for the radio silence over here, it has been an amazing but crazy few weeks. With my sister and cousin getting married in the last month as well as hen dos, 90ths and much more it’s been pretty non-stop. Plus we have a few more special events over the next couple of weeks to look forward to.
So after my hiatus I thought I would return with a little style post with all things knitwear! After an amazing summer which didn’t seem to want to end it’s slowly coming into jumper season. When I was working my winter wardrobe on the weekends was always made up of a strong collection of chunky knitwear, usually roll / polo necks. I don’t know why I am always drawn to this style? I think I just like the cosiness of it and the look of a chunky knit with jeans. This is my everyday look now I’m a full time mum so I definitely like to invest in some styles at the beginning of the season.
Back in September when I was in Mallorca I couldn’t resist an obligatory trolley dash in Zara and picked up some winter wardrobe essentials, including this chunky cable knit jumper. As you know I love a neutral colourway and this will go with all my jeans and jackets. I think everyone should have a cream chunky knit in their winter wardrobe, it’s timeless and goes with absolutely everything. This one has a slight chenille feel which makes it feel really soft and cosy without having that shiny look it can sometimes have - don’t worry it’s definitely more matt than shiny!
See below some similar styles, I love the tassel details on the M&S one and the clean / classic look with the French connection option.
These pictures were taken on Sunday morning at the STUNNING Ashdown Park Hotel where my beautiful cousin got married on Saturday. It was an amazing day, the weather was so good they got married outside - see what I mean about summer not wanting to leave???
