We were lucky enough to spend yesterday at Ascot with some great friends. It was such a treat to get all dressed up, enjoy the delicious food (and drink) and of course place a few bets. Although the hubz and I had a spectacularly unlucky day and didn't win a single bet on any race.
I planned to share the details of my outfit as I think it's such a beautiful dress and such good value for money. Unfortunately it literally sold out yesterday but I thought I would share the link incase it comes back into stock. It was Missguided Premium from ASOS and an absolute bargain at £45. I bought loads of bits from the likes of Reiss and Whistles and they all went straight back as this was by far my favourite. A great choice for any wedding or special occasion you may have coming up. Very much Erdem inspired which you know I LOVE from my Royal Wedding post.
Even without any makeup on and greasy hair I knew it was the one as soon as I tried it. If you look at the images on ASOS you may notice it's slightly lower cut than my version as I got my mum to add a few stitches into the front to make it less revealing. My shape has changed since having Bella and I really like dresses that are nipped in at the waist now with a fuller skirt. I used to go for more fitted dresses before but I feel like I look like a packed sausage in those sort of dresses these days. I also loved the layers of beautiful embroidered flowers which hide a multitude of sins and give the dress a real 'swishy' feel.
Here are some other favourite embroidered floral dresses I found online:
Such a fun day with possibly the most raucous car journey home of all time!
