Rubbish weather in June meant nobody bought any summer clothes and the retailers have got it coming out of their ears - especially after last year’s summer where the sales would have been amazing meaning they would have planned really big this year! This means there are now some great sales about with everyone trying to shift their stock.

With this in mind I’ve had a little look online and picked out my favourite sale bits from my favourite brands. I have really tried to pick out items that have got real longevity in them. So pieces that although are in the sale at a good price are going to have life in them for seasons to come and are not necessarily a massive trend. The environmental impact of the clothing industry is becoming more and more apparent and I am personally taking a step away from the ‘fast fashion’ mentality and buying things I know I will wear year after year. Everything below is pretty neutral and easy to wear - basically broad appeal garments!

SO without further a do here are my favourite finds:

Spotty trapeze dress, black espadrille wedges, a good sturdy beach bag…. all items you can wear this summer and into next. I picked up the spotty trapeze dress (non maternity) and wore it to to Wimbledon yesterday. It’s super comfy and is great for an event like this but wouldn’t look OTT on the beach.

Here i’ve gone for some linen items (jumpsuit and cami) which are great for the hot weather and the neutral colours make them easy to ear with lots of looks. Couldn’t resist the dungarees reduced to £20 because they are a complete wardrobe staple for me - only just stopped wearing them a few weeks back when bump got too big. The lace trim cami goes with everything and can be layered up in winter and finally who doesn’t want to rock a gingham dress come summer?

With whistles I firstly picked out this 100% cotton maxi dress, from beach to city you’ll wear it to death and can even layer up with a t-shirt underneath on cooler days. Linen jumpsuit again suits all occasions and can sit in your wardrobe as a staple forever. I picked out the striped tee because everyone needs one and I have to say although they are maybe more expensive in Whistles, in my experience their t-shirts are a great quailty and really last vs one you might pick up for under a tenner. I know I was supposed to be keeping it neutral but I couldn’t resist the wrap dress as I think it is such a beautiful print and will look amazing at any event - the races, a wedding, summer party or dressed down with flip flops on holiday. Lastly the blue top - goes with everything and again can be work anywhere and everywhere.

(For some reason some of the sale prices below are not showing below, if you click through you will see how much they are reduced to).

Again I’ve gone for some broad appeal classic items, starting with the twist on the classic breton - I love the pop of red! This tee will look dreamy with all denim and is a bargain at £12. Next up the denim wrap dress, I’d wear it with wedges out to dinner here and with sandal on my holibobs. A linen midi skirt is going to live in your wardrobe for eternity - perfect for the office with a blouse and dressed down with a cami or t-shirt. A silk blouse will last forever and is so versatile and lastly a bit of leopard print! I actually classic leopard print as a wardrobe staple as it’s timeless and never goes out of style.

I hope you like, let me know your fave sale pieces out there!
